Karl Hugo Huppert
German physician and chemist, born January 29, 1832, Marienberg, Saxony; died 1904.

Biography:
Karl Hugo Huppert was educated in Leipzig and Jena. He was in particular the pupil of Karl Gotthelf Lehmann (1812-1863) and obtained his doctorate in 1862. He then headed the medical-chemical laboratory until the autumn of 1871, when he was appointed extraordinarius. However, already in 1873 he was called to Prague as full professor of medical chemistry. He died of apoplexy in 1904.
