Max Jessner
German-American dermatologist, born November 2, 1887, Stolp, Pommerania; died 1978.

A multisystem disorder characterised by complex ectodermal and mesodermal dysplasia with osseous involvement.

Jessner-Kanof syndrome
A lymphocytic infiltration of the skin occurring mainly on the face and occasionally appearing on other parts of the body.

Biography:
Max Jessner studied in Munich and Königsberg, obtaining his doctorate in the latter city in 1910. From 1912 assistant to Jadassohn in Bern, accompanying Jadassohn to Breslau where he was habilitated for dermatology in 1922, becoming ausserordentlicher professor in 1926. He mainly concerned himself with questions of immunology and with the protozoan diseases.
