Biography of Donald C. Aberfeld

After graduating in medicine from the University of Bucharest in 1957, Donald Aberfeld worked for one year in the neuropsychiatric clinic of the University of Vienna. He immigrated to USA and obtained appointments as a visiting neurologist at hospitals in New York. He described Aberfeld's syndrome (Schwartz-Jampel syndrome) while he was associated with the Maimonides Hospital. He later became attending neurlogist at the St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York City.
