Georg Stiefler
Austrian physician, born December 26, 1876; died August 10, 1939, Linz.

Biography:
Georg Stiefler studied at Innsbruck, where he obtained his doctorate in 1902. He remained there as secondary physician until 1904, then until 1909 he was assistant in the university neurological-psychiatrical clinic. After receiving further education with Julius Wagner-Jauregg (1857-1940) at Vienna, he moved to Linz, becoming neurologist, forensic psychiatrist and head of the neurological ambulatorium of the Krankenkassenverbände. Besides this he was habilitated for psychiatry and neurology at Innsbruck in 1920, becoming ausserordentlicher Professor in 1925.
